Our Name

Our company name is inspired by Detroit’s Motto;

“Speramus Meliora; Resurget Cineribus.”

Which in Latin means;

“We hope for better things; It shall rise from the ashes.” 

This motto was coined by Gabriel Richard after Detroit was leveled by fire in 1805.  It captured the city’s relentless drive and spirit of rebirth.

It continues to be a symbol of the resilience of Detroiters and a reference to a city on the rise once again.
